Based on ten years of research and over 250 interviews with stakeholders in the apartment owned residential properties we have defined five stages that need to be crossed to reach true Co-Ownership in (residential) property.
The five stages that you need to go through
Activate the topic in question.
The first stage of CoProp.io is to activate the topic in question. It is all about taking the first step and create awareness by introducing this topic and create a foundation to address this within the complex.
Start creating awareness
The second stage of CoProp.io is to educate about the topic in question. It is all about taking the second step and start embedding it in your complex and educate the stakeholders in the complex about the benefits or the necessity about the topic within the complex.
Start taking actions to make it structural
The third stage of CoProp.io is to organize the embedding of the topic in question. It is all about taking action and make sure that the attitude towards this topic in your complex changes from passive to active.
Structure the topic for definitive place within your complex.
The fourth stage of CoProp.io is to Structure the topic in question within the complex and make sure that it has a definitive place within your complex. It is all about giving the topic a definitive place and inform the residents/owners about the performance on a regular basis so that the status can be monitored.
Improve and start upgrading
The fifth stage of CoProp.io is to improve the results of the regular efforts of the topic in question as well as start upgrading items related to this topic within the complex. This might imply that you are going through the previous 4 steps all over to start the improvement process.
Start Urban Mining and develop new!
The last stage of CoProp.io is to Demolish the complex. This is the last resort which will only take place if there is no more interest to maintain the complex. This is the final decision which is based on either the cost of maintenance outweigh the cost of demolishing and either rebuild the complex or design a new complex.
